We have purchased Diphoterine eye wash kit from HSE Solutions Pvt. Ltd. which represents PREVOR, for our organization & found that it worked well as per the incidents happened at our lab.

Spill of Sample solution containing Acrolein, Toluene: While filtering the sample solution through membrane filter, back pressure developed due to choking of filter. With excess pressure applied, the whole solution squirted from syringe barrel directly into the eyes of chemist. Immediately Diphoterine eye wash was used to flush the eyes where it was found that the chemical layer was washed off from the eye & there was no damage to the eye & the irritation was reduced.

Spill of MDC: When our lab boy was trying to clean the residue leftover in the glassware using Methylene Dichloride (MDC), few drops of MDC spilled into his left eye. Diphoterine was used immediately for flushing the eyes due to which the burning sensation had completely reduced. There was no damage to the eye due to immediate usage of eye wash.

We feel that Diphoterine has proved to be a good first aid measure in many instances & we strongly recommend its use.
